AmigoCloud Inc. (“AmigoCloud,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how the AmigoCollect mobile application (“AmigoCollect,” “App,” or “Application”) collects, uses, processes, stores, discloses, and safeguards information when you access or use our services.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the AmigoCollect Application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms and practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, you must not download, install, or use the Application.

3. APPLICATION DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE
AmigoCollect is a professional-grade mobile field data collection and geospatial mapping application designed to enable users to capture, edit, manage, and synchronize geographic and attribute data in real time. The Application is intended for use by professionals, organizations, enterprises, and government agencies engaged in field operations, asset management, environmental monitoring, surveying, and similar activities.
Key features and capabilities include:
- Real-time geospatial data collection, including points, lines, and polygons
- Multimedia capture functionality (photographs, videos, audio recordings, documents)
- Offline data collection capabilities for remote and disconnected environments
- Automatic synchronization with the AmigoCloud platform when internet connectivity is restored
- Barcode, QR code, and RFID scanning functionality
- Electronic signature capture
- Related table management and complex data relationships
4. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect various types of information in connection with the services we provide through the Application. The information collected depends on how you interact with our services and the features you utilize.
4.1 Personal Information
“Personal Information” means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or household. We collect the following categories of Personal Information:
- Account Identifiers: Email address, username, and password credentials
- Identity Information: Full legal name, display name, and professional title
- Professional Information: Organization name, department, project metadata, and professional affiliations
Important Notice: We do not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise monetize your Personal Information to any third party for marketing, advertising, or any other commercial purpose.
4.2 Location Data
Location data collection is essential to the core functionality of the AmigoCollect Application. We collect precise geolocation information from your device’s Global Positioning System (GPS), cellular network triangulation, Wi-Fi access points, and other location-determining technologies. Location data is collected under the following circumstances:
- Data Submission: Location is captured at the time of each data submission to geotag collected information
- Feature Capture Workflows: Continuous location collection during active mapping, surveying, or field data collection activities
- Background Tracking: When workflow requirements necessitate continuous location tracking for route recording, asset tracking, or similar purposes, the Application may collect location data while running in the background
Legal Basis: The collection of location data is necessary for the performance of the contract between you (or your organization) and AmigoCloud, and constitutes a core and essential feature of the Application’s functionality.
4.3 Media and File Data
When voluntarily submitted by users in connection with field data collection activities, we may collect and process the following media types:
- Photographs and still images
- Video recordings
- Audio recordings and voice notes
- Document files and attachments
- Electronic signatures
- Barcode and QR code scan data
- RFID scan data
4.4 User-Generated Content
The Application supports a comprehensive range of user input types to facilitate robust field data collection. User-generated content may include:
- Free-form text entries and annotations
- Numeric values, calculations, and measurements
- Selection from predefined picklists and dropdown menus
- Geospatial features including point coordinates, polylines, and polygon geometries
- Media attachments linked to geographic features
- Related table entries and complex hierarchical data structures
4.5 Device and Technical Data
To ensure proper functionality, security, and performance optimization of the Application, we automatically collect certain technical information from your device, including:
- Device manufacturer, model, and hardware identifiers
- Operating system type, version, and configuration
- Application version and build information
- Internet Protocol (IP) address and network connection type
- Crash reports, error logs, and diagnostic information (collected via Firebase Crashlytics)
- Usage analytics events, feature interactions, and session data
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND DATA PROCESSORS
We engage certain trusted third-party service providers to assist in delivering, maintaining, and improving our services. These third parties act as data processors on our behalf and are contractually obligated to process data only in accordance with our instructions and applicable data protection laws.
5.1 Cloud Infrastructure and Hosting
Data collected through the Application is stored and processed using the following cloud infrastructure providers:
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Primary cloud infrastructure for data storage, processing, and application hosting
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): Secondary infrastructure for redundancy, backup, and specific service components
Enterprise clients may request multi-region hosting configurations to meet specific data residency, compliance, or performance requirements. Such arrangements are subject to separate contractual agreements.
5.2 Analytics Services
We utilize analytics services to understand how users interact with our Application and to improve our services:
- Mixpanel: Product analytics for understanding user behavior and feature usage
- Google Analytics: Web and application analytics for traffic analysis and user engagement metrics
5.3 Crash Reporting and Diagnostics
- Google Firebase Crashlytics: Real-time crash reporting and error tracking to identify and resolve application stability issues
5.4 Mapping and Geospatial Services
Depending on the configuration and deployment, the Application may integrate with the following mapping service providers:
- Google Maps SDK
- Mapbox
- HERE Technologies
5.5 Authentication Providers
We offer multiple authentication methods for user convenience and security:
- Native Authentication: Email address and password-based authentication managed directly by AmigoCloud
- OAuth 2.0 Integration: Single sign-on (SSO) authentication through Google OAuth for streamlined access
6. DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE PRACTICES
We are committed to protecting your data and limiting its disclosure. We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your personal data to external third parties except as described below:
- Service Providers and Data Processors: We share data with our contracted service providers (as detailed in Section 5) solely for the purpose of operating, maintaining, and improving our services. All such providers are bound by data processing agreements that require them to protect your data and use it only as instructed.
- Legal Compliance and Protection: We may disclose information if required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

- By default, we do not share user-collected data with customer organizations unless explicitly configured by the account administrator
7. DATA RETENTION
We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Unless otherwise requested by you or required by law, we apply the following retention periods:
- User Account Data: Retained while your account remains active, plus up to ten (10) years following account closure or termination
- Location Data: Retained while your account remains active, plus up to ten (10) years following account closure or termination
- User-Generated Content: Retained while your account remains active, plus up to ten (10) years following account closure or termination
- Technical Logs: Crash reports, analytics data, and server logs are retained for up to ten (10) years
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, unless retention is required by applicable law.
8. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
We respect your rights regarding your personal data and are committed to facilitating the exercise of those rights. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have some or all of the following rights:
8.1 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Rights

9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The AmigoCollect Application is intended for users who are at least thirteen (13) years of age. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our servers.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under 13 has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at info@amigocloud.com so that we can take appropriate action.
10. SECURITY MEASURES
We implement and maintain appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your personal data. These measures include:
- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between the Application and our servers is protected using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS) encryption

While we implement safeguards designed to protect your information, no electronic transmission or storage method is 100% secure. 11. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where our servers and service providers are located. By using the Application, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection rules.
Data Transfer Safeguards:
- Primary Storage: User data is primarily stored in data centers located in the United States
- Multi-Region Options: Enterprise clients may request multi-region hosting configurations to comply with specific data residency requirements
- Transfer Mechanisms: Where required, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by relevant regulatory authorities
12. APP STORE COMPLIANCE
12.1 Apple iOS App Store Requirements
In compliance with Apple’s App Store guidelines and App Tracking Transparency framework, we disclose the following:
- Location data collected through the Application is linked to your identity for the purpose of providing geospatial data collection services
- Location data may be used for analytics purposes to improve our services
- The Application does NOT track users across third-party applications, websites, or properties for advertising or marketing purposes
12.2 Google Play Store Requirements
In compliance with Google Play’s data safety requirements, we disclose the following:
- Background location access may be utilized when workflow requirements necessitate continuous location tracking
- Location access is required for the core functionality of the Application and cannot be disabled while using location-dependent features
- Users may request deletion of their account and associated data at any time through the methods described in this Policy
13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to modify, amend, or update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes to this Policy:
- We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy
- For material changes that significantly affect your rights or our processing practices, we will provide prominent notice through the Application, by email, or through other appropriate channels
